9-8-8 serves as the national number for suicide prevention and crisis and enable individuals nationwide to access support and resources when they are experiencing a crisis.

In Georgia, anyone experiencing a suicidal crisis or emotional distress can call the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225 or download the My GCAL app to access GCAL via text and chat. GCAL also answers calls from 9-8-8 for numbers with a Georgia area code. GCAL is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365), and serves as the hub for all Georgia crisis services.
